Because of the influence of La Nina, rainfall at the water source of Lake Eyre has
been changing during history. Water flows through the Eyre Creek System to
Lake Eyre, bringing life to the desert. Filling and drying of the lake causes boom
and bust of Australian Pelicans in Lake Eyre basin. The fluctuation of Lake Eyre
and migration of Australian Pelican leave tracks on the surface of the earth,
recording the flow of time. The rhythm of the changes is just like the heart beat
of Australia showing her enthusiasm. Through human eyes, we are interested
in the life of pelicans, including their coming and going, newborn and death. We
are working as the historiographer for Australian Pelican, and being their mouth
telling their stories.
